Butterfly Grunge

This weeks challenge at The Friday Mashup was to create a card using the sketch that's only 2 layers with a grunge element under the first layer.

I typically like to use both the mashup challenges when I do this blog challenge but unfortunately this time I wasn't able to. Truth is, I actually thought I had till after I completed my card and went back to link it... :( Oh well I suppose. So originally I thought the challenge was to complete a project with only 2 layers and a grunge element under the first layer. I knew I wanted to use my gorgeous grunge set but I couldn't figure out how to make the grunge element be under the first layer and still see it well enough to get the look I wanted. Then I remembered my window sheets and ta da!

  1. Very pretty! I love the bright colors you used for the splotches, and the butterflies offsetting them. The window sheet is a great way to add a layer. Thanks for joining the Friday Mashup this week.
